Exhaust air purification by thermal afterburning

Thermal afterburning is generally agreed to be one of the safest and most environmentally friendly method to clean exhaust air. It achieves clean gas values that are better than those produced by biofilters, scrubbers and similar systems. The method can cope with a changeover to new solvents as well with a high rate of particulates.

Thermal afterburning is suitable for all operations that:

  • produce minor to medium exhaust air volumes (10 to 50,000 m³/hr)
  • have medium to high concentrations of pollutants (1.5 to 50 g/m³)
  • work with discontinuous or continuous production lines

Benefits:

  • cleaning of exhaust air
  • the released energy can be used to produce steam or hot water
